Age-Based Classes
DCJJ separates children by both age and experience.
5 - 8 years
level 1 (Beginner level)
Level 2 (Advanced level)
9 - 12 years
level 1 (Beginner level)
Level 2 (Advanced level)
Kids will be separated under the one class based on above
Concept-based learning
teaching principles (base, posture, frames, pressure, timing, connection, etc.) that underpin techniques. Instructors break down moves into “Why, What, How, What if” steps and use active recall and targeted sparring to reinforce concepts. For example, after demonstrating a technique, students “wrestle in the position” to practice real scenarios, giving repeated situational practice without overwhelming variety.
